“The Aosta Valley in the World”: on Saturday 30 November and on Friday 6 December

“The Aosta Valley in the world” is a very special event, planned to ring in this winter holiday season in grand style.
The events actually are two: two single dinners designed to offer you a gastronomic tour around the world with a firmly fixed point of reference: the Aosta Valley and its wines.
Our chef Fabrizio Reffo will lead you along this high-quality culinary path, proposing five dishes inspired by the international cuisine and matched with great wines produced in the region, specially selected by Matteo Zanetti, the hotel’s owner and an AIS certified sommelier.

Lighting the Christmas Tree: Saturday 7 December

7 December: mark this date as since then you will have been breathing the great Christmas atmosphere.
In fact that very day a traditional Christmas tree will be lighted in front of the town church. And the Christmas holidays will start finally!

Snowboard Cross World Cup: 20-21 December 2019

The week before Christmas promises to be full of feelings on the ski slopes!
For the third consecutive year Cervinia will host the Snowboard Cross World Championships. The world’s best female and male champions will compete at a high level.
So while waiting for Father Christmas you can enjoy these fantastic athletes’ amazing performances!

Vertical Winter Tour: 28-29-30 December 2019

Even this year during the Christmas holidays Cervinia will host the Vertical Winter Tour. This event will be held in Piazzale Cretaz, near the ski slopes.
It will last three days with free entertainment, plenty of live music, street games, gadgets, ski tests and fun for everyone.
In addition expert Radio Deejay speakers will keep you company for the whole fun time.

Christmas Dinner at the Excelsior Planet

On 25 December after celebrating on the ski slopes, our guests can keep on celebrating Christmas day in our restaurant.
A wide choice of tasty and delicious Christmas dishes will be served at their tables in our hotel!
A sea mount menu offers a variety of selections: every dish will be prepared to tantalise and astonish their taste buds with new and refined flavours.
What’s our purpose? To make your Christmas day even more magical!

New Year’s Eve Candlelight Ski

On the evening of 30 December the traditional New Year’s Eve Candlelight Ski will take place in Breuil-Cervinia.
With their skis on and a burning torch in their hands mountain guides and ski instructors will glide down the snow slopes.
The stunning view of Mount Cervin will make this really scenic performance still more impressive for all viewers.
Afterward a musical fireworks display will light the night offering a breathtaking scenery to adults and kids!

This is an important date in Cervinia as this is the occasion to celebrate its mountains and its people living and working here. Like every year we all will enjoy it standing in our hotel thanks to the magnificent view we have over the event. We’re looking forward to!

The New Year’s Eve with Music at the Foot of Mount Cervin

On 31 December Cervinia will wait for you in the main square to welcome altogether the arrival of the new year.
There will be musical entertainments and frenetic dances till dawn (for the most vigorous dancers, obviously!)

New year’s Eve Dinner

Don’t you like outdoor events? Or, as an alternative, before having fun in the square, would you rather have a big fancy dinner? You can easily do it by taking part to the several special dinners planned in Cervinia.

Even at the Excelsior Planet we will celebrate the arrival of the new year with you! How? With a fantastic New Year’s Eve party with tasty dishes designed by our chef and great live music to late-night.

The doors will open at 20.00 for an aperitif. The drinks and the warmth of the sparkling fireplace and music will heat our guests.
All that will prime your palates for the following gourmet dinner ending with a champagne toast and then everyone will start dancing!
At 1.00 the great food lovers can try their luck for the new year by eating the traditional lucky trotter and lentils.

What could be nicer than the typical mountains Christmas markets? Walk around the small wooden houses and go in search of gifts and traditional objects while having a hot glass of Vin Brulé in your hand: nothing is so “much Christmas” as this Christmas.

Winter Market in Valtournenche

You’ll take just a quarter of an hour to reach the Christmas Market in Valtournenche in the square of Guide Alpine.
It is a real snowy Christmas hamlet where you can buy typical sweets, hot chocolates or Vin Brulé and a large number of Christmas souvenirs while live music will sound for you at any corner.
Moreover the kids will have a special surprise: they will have the great chance to meet Father Christmas’ real reindeer!

Marché Vert Noël, the Christmas Market in Aosta

The Christmas market in Aosta, without doubt, is the largest and charming market in the Valley with its 40 small wooden houses exposing a large quantity of beautiful objects for sale. This is also due to the unique atmosphere where it is held: in fact each year this market is set up inside an ancient Roman theatre in the heart of the town.
